The World Congress On Innovation and Technology, WCIT is the largest and the most reputable international event among worldwide IT leaders. Endearingly known as the Olympics of the world’s information technology conferences, WCIT2022 MALAYSIA sets Penang as the gateway to Southeast Asia for the world. With a population of 650 million people in Southeast Asia, WCIT2022 Malaysia (https://wcit2022.com/) aims to connect and power the conversations of tomorrow and the collaboration due from the quantum-leaps of transformations of the various nations here through the digital economy as a result of technological adoption, digital innovation and foreign investment. WCIT has been held since 1978, a flagship event of the World Innovation, Technology And Services Alliance. Malaysia last hosted it in the year 2008. Over the years, speakers of the WCIT have included Al Gore, Mikhail Gorbachev, Margaret Thatcher, Michael Dell, Larry Ellison, Bill Clinton, Don Tapscott, Bill Gates, Steve Balmer, John Chambers, Nicholas Negroponte and Colin Powell.
As we prepare for WCIT2022 in Penang, Malaysia this September 13-15, we are working on creating globally impactful conversations designed to connect and transform the world. Under the theme “Connecting and Transforming the World”, WCIT2022 will feature three daily themes:
Day 1 CONNECT: Connecting to Key Opinion Leaders & Experts from across the world to open conversations on how different economies perceive advances in technology in different ways, mostly based on their vantage perspective and concepts of globalization, adoption, diffusion and changes necessary in policies in order to translate technical change into economic and social value.
DAY 2 ENGAGE: Engaging in ambitious discussions to explore how Innovation and Technology has the power to impact and transform all facets of our life including our health, work, infrastructure, transportation, environment, education and more.
DAY 3 TRANSFORM: Meaningful, actionable roundtable discussions, successful case study presentations and more will take place to set out post-program actions to be taken helping to transform the world!
