ATIC

About ATIC

The Romanian Association for Information and Communications Technology (ATIC) is an important voice in Romania’s ICT industry, promoting innovation, collaboration, and excellence in technology.

It is the oldest independent, non-governmental organization established in Romania in the ICT field. Since 1991, ATIC has supported companies and professionals in the sector, facilitating access to resources, strategic partnerships, and growth opportunities in a dynamic digital environment.

“In a period when the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds are intertwining, markets and technology are evolving rapidly, processes and things are interconnected, a recognized voice of the IT&C industry, such as ATIC, brings a significant contribution to the development and advancement of Romanian companies, new opportunities, collaboration with state institutions for an environment favorable to innovation and progress.”

Alin Niță, President of ATIC

“We were in the first row of the promotion of the field in the relationship with the governmental and legislative bodies, being a co-author of the proposal accepted in 2001 for the IT professionals to benefit from tax exemptions to promote this vital field for the future of Romania.
We were concerned about the impact of our activity on society and adopted the ECDL digital skills certification model, recognized worldwide in over 160 countries, an action successfully carried out in Romania since 2002.
The past compels us.
A future full of actions in favor of the Romanian IT community can only be conceived together.
I therefore invite you to join ATIC.”

Prof. Dr. Vasile BaltacHonorary Chairman of ATIC
