Association for The technology Information and Communications FROM Romania (Attic) represents the voice main A industrially IT&C from Romania, promoting the innovation, collaboration and excellency in technology. ATIC is an independent and non-governmental organization, non-patrimonial, apolitical, scientific and professional, a component of civil society. 

The Association for Information Technology and Communications in Romania is the first association of the IT&C sector in Romania. Registered in 1991 that the Romanian Software Association changed its name to the Association for Information Technology and Communications from Romania – ATIC in 1996. From the very beginning, ATIC was proud to represent both the business and scientific sectors of the IT&C field in Romania. 

The Association for Information Technology and Communications in Romania counts in its ranks both representative companies in the field, as well as scientific personalities from the university or research environment. 

Our association is not only the oldest IT-focused association in Romania, having been established in 1991, but also the only one that represents the interests of both individual professionals and the business community. We have been at the forefront of promoting the sector in our interactions with governmental and legislative bodies. We were a co-author of the proposal adopted in 2001 that granted tax exemptions to IT professionals, helping to support and develop this field, which is vital to Romania’s future.
