The participation of the President of ATIC, Mr. Alin Nita, at the Economic Mission from Japan and Korea between October 21-30, 2023

Last week, between October 21-30, 2023, I had the honor of representing the Association for Information and Communication Technology from Romania – ATIC, as President, in an important economic mission to South Korea and Japan, together with a group of IT companies interested in the Asian market. The purpose of this trip was to establish communication channels to capitalize on Romanian skills and identify opportunities in these markets.

  •  I would like to thank Mr. Ambassador of Romania in South Korea, Cezar ARMEANU, and the team of the Bureau of Commercial – Economic Promotion (BPCE) Seoul for the support provided in organizing and facilitating the discussions with the interested Korean partners.

I also had the joy of establishing a close collaboration between ATIC and the Korean association KOTRI (Korea Trade Intelligence), in a strategic partnership that is to be strengthened in the coming period, and for this support, I thank Mr. Joong-Hyun JOUGH, Vice President of KOTRI. The president of the association Kwang–Hee HONG, who in the past held the position of president of the Korean Importers Association (KOIMA), is an important businessman, owner of the New Korea Trading Corporation, started the project of establishing this Romanian-Korean bilateral business association. The association is interested in business opportunities, including in the field of IT&C.

  •  The “Korea Electronics Show (KES 2023)” exhibition in Seoul was a special opportunity to meet directly with Korean companies active in advanced technologies.

At this event, we had a constructive discussion with Mr. Chung Won PARK, President of the Korea Electronic Association (KEA), in order to facilitate close cooperation between the organizations. This meeting was also attended by Mr. Cezar ARMEANU, the Ambassador of Romania in Seoul, as well as representatives of BPCE Seoul. I would like to thank Mr. Minister Counselor Sorin Toader for the collaboration and for the official VIP visit offered by the organizers and KEA.

  •  “NexTech Week Tokyo” is a trade show that exceeds expectations every time. It is Japan’s largest exhibition for AI technology companies, a place that gathers advanced technologies that will change the world. I had the opportunity during the visit to connect with suppliers and partners in this field and emerging technologies.
  •  Another important experience was participating in the biggest IT exhibition “Japan IT Week”. As a rule, such an event attracts numerous professionals from various industries.
