On June 24, 2019, the “6th Eastern Partnership Business Forum”, edition dedicated to cooperation in the IT field, took place in Bucharest.
Mr. Florin Vrejoiu, Program Manager within ATIC, moderated the “Industry 4.0 – Convergence towards a digital future” session, having the following topics of discussion:
- The evolution of Industry 4.0. How does IT transform commerce?
- Industry 4.0 – Factory of the future: Success stories from the countries of the Eastern Partnership.
- Limitations of current technologies used today; current blockages and difficulties.
- Improving start-up initiatives; Incentives for the initiatives of young entrepreneurs.
Eastern Partnership is an association agreement that the European Union has concluded with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus. This project was initiated by Poland and Sweden in 2008. The first summit took place on May 7, 2009 in Prague.
Industry 4.0 eIt is a significant transformation of the entire industrial production through the unification of digital technologies and the Internet with conventional industry. From communications networks, to robots, 3D printers, control systems and, in the future, autonomous cars, Industry 4.0 will significantly impact the economy, offering an unprecedented degree of automation and operational independence.
