The Ministry for the Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the Association for Information Technology and Communications – ATIC, organized, between April 15-16 this year, an economic mission to promote Romanian IT&C products in the State of Qatar.
The Romanian delegation, together with the executive vice-president of ATIC and representatives of the Ministry for the Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, includes representatives of eleven Romanian IT&C companies, members of ATIC: 4 E Software, BitDefender, GreenSoft, Imprezzio Global, Ingenios.ro, Kuantero, Next Planet, Online Services, Q-East Software, Tellence, TGS Software.
The Romanian delegation participated in the Business Forum organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), together with representatives of prominent companies that implement the Smart Qatar national program (TASMU), a platform for the realization of a digital economy and an intelligent future, in accordance with the “National Vision of Qatar 2030”. The Romanian specialists presented the products and services offered by the represented companies to the forum participants, and the discussions then continued in the framework of B2B meetings with companies in the field of information technology.
The event was attended by the Romanian ambassador to Doha, E.S. Cristian Tudor and the vice-president of ATIC, Florin Vrejoiu, as well as the undersecretary of state for the government sector of information technology in MOTC, Hassan Jassim Al-Sayed.
The agenda of the Romanian mission in Doha continued with the participation in the Business Formula organized by the largest IT&C company in Qatar, the Maalumatyiah company, together with representatives from approx. 20 branches in different subfields.
The economic mission from Doha takes place within the framework of the Export Support and Promotion Program with partial financing from the state budget, to increase the visibility of Romanian IT&C companies, in order to promote Romania’s cooperation with the State of Qatar in one of the fields where our country is competitive.
