Artificial intelligenceredefines the way we work, produce and make decisions. The Artificial Intelligence and Robotics working group brings together the companies and specialists who are building the future of intelligent automation in Romania, to make it responsible, competitive and anchored in the reality of the local market.

The adoption of AI and advanced robotics brings significant opportunities for the Romanian economy, but also real challenges: the regulatory framework (AI Act), workforce training, ethics of use, access to computing power and quality data.

The working group acts as a bridge between companies, academia, research institutions and authorities, with the objective of maximizing the chances of members to develop their technological and competitive capabilities. Through the exchange of expertise and joint initiatives, we contribute to the formation of a mature AI & Robotics ecosystem, in which the solutions developed in Romania are visible on international markets.

The objectives of the working group

  • Involvement in public consultations on the AI Act and the national strategy for artificial intelligence
  • Promoting the ethical and responsible adoption of AI in the private sector and in administration
  • Facilitating members’ access to European funding programs (Digital Europe, Horizon Europe, PNRR)
  • Supporting the internationalization of Romanian companies by participating in trade fairs and economic missions
  • Building a functional bridge between industry, R&D and higher education
  • Dissemination of knowledge through events, case studies and awareness materials

Work directions

  • Generative AI and enterprise applications— adoption, integration, governance
  • Industrial robotics and autonomous systems— automation, manufacturing, logistics
