There is a consistent lack of tech professionals in Europe. It has been proven that diverse teams increase potential for innovation in tech companies. Gender equality in the workforce increases even countries’ GDP. Yet, even with all these potential benefits, women still make up only 16% of the Information Technology (IT) workforce. How to increase gender diversity in tech?
On 26 November 2020 will take place online the CEPIS DiversIT Charter – our new initiative of recognition of the existing efforts of our organisation and guidance to help our organisation embed gender diversity into its IT roles.
The event will include a keynote address from the European Commissioner for Innovation and Research Mariya Gabriel, and other keynote speakers and panelists who will address topics from the importance of gender diversity in general to specific best practices to attract and retain female tech talents to your company. And, of course, the practical information about the DiversIT Charter!
