In three weeks, IT Professionalism Europe with eSkills Malta Foundation and the Irish Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition will be holding the annual IT Professionalism conference. It will cover EU policies tied to the latest technologies and the skills needed to develop them. Speakers from both the European Commission, industry and education will participate to present their own findings and discuss the road ahead for Europe’s ICT workforce and digital transformation. We will be discussing how to reach the European Commission’s goal to have 20 million IT professionals in Europe by 2030.
On April 22, we will hold a half-a-day session specifically for young people on IT careers. Since this is not our usual target audience, we are looking for ways to convey the message about the event. If you are working with relevant organizations representing young people (for example, student unions), could you kindly share this information with them? Please find the more detailed information below:
Are you thinking of starting a career in IT? Are you studying IT and wondering if you have the right skills to find your dream job? Do you want to hear from companies that hire IT professionals and from young specialists who recently started their careers? Or do you want to learn how to improve your CV and motivation letter so that they refer to European standards and competencies? Then this event is for you!
The third day of the ‘IT Professionalism Conference 2021’ will focus on ‘Becoming an IT Professional’, featuring the panel ‘Young IT professionals – what to expect?’. The goal of this panel will be to exchange on what it means to start an IT career, with young professionals who recently started their IT careers discussing with company representatives. Later in the day, we will hold a ‘CV Clinic’ with live feedback on how selected application documents can be improved to land the next job. We also invite you to submit your CV and a motivation letter in English for this exercise – selected documents will all be displayed anonymously.
